Rogues Gallery

I should start a category called ‘Not funny; just sad’. These cables connect the dish (below bottom right) to the head-end near the aerial mast. They should have been clipped to the wall but instead they lie loose on the tiles, rubbing away every time the wind blows.

This is a tall building, so eventually someone will have to hire a large mechanical hoist to replace the cables. The whole thing will cost about £500. Cable clips are a penny each. If you recognise this bit of wall and you are a resident of the building, look out for your share of the £500 surcharge on the ground rent. Then annoy the hell out of the management agent by telling him that this was a latent defect that he should have spotted (and made the builder fix) during the defects liability period. You’ll be the hero of the residents’ association!
