Nowadays we have to consider cost/benefit analysis in everything we do. Just think of the saving in shoe leather over a twelve month financial period if we delay going to the toilet until we’re absolutely desperate! And we should save money and shower with a friend!

This installer should be proud of the savings he has made in materials and time. Abandoning the traditional aerial fixing methods that need a mast and wall bracket (costing all of a fiver), he has made clever use of a soil stack, using only two cable ties to secure the aerial to the (loose fitting) cover that keeps the birds out. Expenditure on cable fixings has been reduced to zero by the clever idea of, err. . . not using any. It’s a pity he used an actual aerial. A life-sized cardboard replica would have been better.

Thanks to Tony of Whitehorse Aerials for this photograph.
