Albert's Attic Gallery
In
the early 1970s Hil used to sell aerials by mail order. We had
a number of regular customers in the Highlands and Islands and
in the Irish Republic, and it was really a very interesting period,
since they would write strange bucolic missives, sometimes on
the backs of fertiliser labels or what have you, telling us of
their triumphs and disasters.
Our catalogue was the ultimate paste-up
job, with illustrations swiped from manufacturers' catalogues
and pages assembled with scissors and glue, then photocopied at
dead of night by a friend with access to his boss's machine.
