Aerial Photography - Modern

This
is a yagi designed to receive VHF FM radio. Normally the driven
element (the one connected to the cable) is a straightforward
folded dipole because this feeds signal to 75 Ohm cable efficiently,
but in this case the dipole has been distorted into a triangular
shape. I really can’t think of a good reason for this, and
suspect that it is just a gimmick. Incidentally, the second from
the right director element has swivelled round almost to the vertical.
This can happen when the fixing bolt (which goes through a hole
in the boom) is not fully tightened. Over a period of years the
bolt wears a slot in the boom and the element gradually twists.
