Aerial Photography - Modern
It's
not really fair to blame the birds, because all they did was help
themselves to the debris. Well, maybe they added to the damage,
who knows? This is the connection box of a J Beam JBM18, the 18
element aerial of discerning choice in the mid-seventies. Over
the years the plastic is affected by sunlight and develops cracks.
Eventually the birds are able to pull bits off, presumably in
order to decorate their nests. This example came from the roof
of one of our most difficult customers, Mrs Janet Millward, who
wanted an under-guarantee free replacement for this 27 year old
aerial! Other tradesmen beware this terrible harridan!
