Aerial photography - Ancient Gallery Photographed at Covent Garden, London, this is an early Labgear ten element Group A aerial. Later models did not have the indented reflector ends. Of the two mast clamps lower down, the top one is Labgear; the bottom one is Aerialite. The latter represented Aerialite’s clumsy attempt to circumvent the patent on the brilliant Antiference No 1 clamp. The Aerialite clamps left a big distance between the two tubes they were joining; hence this mast is not upright.
