Aerial photography - Ancient Gallery
After
UHF transmissions started in the early 1960s there was a market
for combined UHF/VHF TV aerials. This Jaybeam example has a single
dipole for Band I vertical, a five element Band III vertical array
that has a Band III halfwave linked at the ends to the Band I
dipole. The UHF section is electrically separate with its own
connection box and downlead. These arrays needed the Band III
and UHF transmitters to have opposite polarities and be in the
same direction.
