Aerial photography - Ancient Gallery

Human ingenuity knows no bounds! This ten element UHF aerial has been made from scraps of material. The folded dipole is a length of old coax with the outer sheath carefully removed, tacked around a block of wood. The maker obviously believed that the element centres must be linked, because another length of coax runs along the wooden boom. I found this aerial in a loft in a poor reception area. It was not in use and I guess it had never worked, which is a shame after all that work. If it had been in a really good reception area this might have worked after a fashion, and someone would have had some satisfaction out of it.
