A very early J Beam UHF aerial, this is a twelve element of the PBM series. PBM stood for Parabeam. These aerials used the same square dipole and reflector as the more common MBM high gain range. The connector box contained a balun. Build quality was first class, and 35 years later there are still quite a few of these around! This aerial, and the contemporaneous Antiference above pre-date the channel group system, so both were probably optimised for a particular channel (BBC-2 alone being on UHF, of course). I have no early J Beam catalogues, so if anyone can help with detailed information . . .
