Aerial photography - Ancient Gallery
This is an aerial for VHF 405 line Band I reception, dating from the late 50s or early 60s. BBC TV was transmitted on channels 1 to 5. The ‘single dipole’ was a centre-fed half wave dipole, usually fixed on the wall of the house on the side facing the transmitter.
