We have plenty of other examples of the ‘end-mounted aerial with cradle’ phenomenon in the DIY Section but this one stands out because it was installed by ‘professionals’ as part of a distribution system. Apparently the owner of the establishment decided to give the job to their IT contractors. The latter decided to do it without the help of a sub-contracted aerial installer.

This all came to light because the transmitter is vertically polarised, so the thing just didn’t work!
