Rogues Gallery

Someone (most likely the dish installer) has made a quick buck by running an extension from the Sky box to a back room. There are various acceptable ways to do this. The cable can run internally, or along the side of the house, or through the loft, or as a last resort straight up and over the roof, fixed at intervals. But cables should never run diagonally across the roof like this. The sharp edges of the tiles will cut into the unfixed cable as it moves in the wind, and it is likely that after a significant snowfall the cable will be pulled down if the snow slides off the roof in a big solid lump, as it often does. Any anyway, this cable doesn’t look very nice, does it?
