Aerial photography - Ancient Gallery

Eleven is a high number of elements for a single-boom Band III aerial. Eight was the normal maximum, although I have heard tell of a mythical 13 element behemoth. This example is of interest mainly for the long cradle, or support arm, which is unusual. The installer has single-mindedly pursued good Band III reception. The cradle is very close to the elements of the Band I aerial, and could affect its performance. The Band III aerial is as high as it could go, although since the whole thing has stayed up for forty years I don’t think I can question its structural integrity.
