Wright's Aerials

Aerial photography - Ancient Gallery

This aerial was on the roof of a large hotel in the Scottish Highlands. It received BBC TV on channel 3 from far distant Kirk-o-Shotts. The aerial dates from the 1950s and I bet the hotel had the only television for miles around in those early years. How remarkable that this aerial has survived 50 years of Scottish weather unscathed! The four-element aerial has a delta match rather than a folded dipole. For details of this technique see H Stacked Band III array.
