Aerial Lingus

There are quite a few of these stacked Band III logs in Ireland. The strange thing is, every one that I saw had the feeders from the two aerials simply connected together with a taped joint. No impedance matching then. Very odd.

In this picture the UHF aerial is looking at the same transmission site as the logs. And can you see the rainbow?
